Based on what the majority of these kids are doing during the season, I'm not sure what they're requiring long term rest from šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£

You need rest from what you've actually done. Not the work you should have done lol

It is a club centric fueled FOMO rat race for sure.

There are large segments of the globe doing high exertion sporting activities and work labor in 80 and 90 degrees heat regularly.

this some clubs also didnt make it to the next level on the ecnl stage… coaches getting them bk for that and getting those girls touches in the ā€œoff seasonā€. True futballers dont have an off season however………

Bottom line rest your little ones if they need it or its too hot.

Let them be a kid? Club posting "optional" training pressures parents and kids old enough to be on social media. My kids team had almost 90% of kids show up, including some who had overnight camps preplanned.
My player will see you August 1st.

Clubs know most are driven by FOMO

People who know what's best for their kid don't follow the herd

Everything feels like this lately.

Strivers trying to make themselves look awesome at the expense of mental (and in this case physical) health and their peers.

I agree that the pressure to play year round is absurd. Especially when summer temps are in the high 90s.

I don’t know why u need to make the post if your kid isn’t reporting or doesn’t want to then don’t……..

No need to announce to the public.
