Well that is an odd process given that the principal is about to be appointed. Does not seem like central office is making much sense, but this is MCPS after all so perhaps par for the course.
There's always a lot of AP movement this time of year. For example, perhaps a principal intern has been assigned to Farmland for next year. So their current AP needs to move somewhere else.
