I predict that 10 years from now, some bot from Russia (? maybe the bots will have emigrated by then ?) will bring this back as a zombie thread and you will read it, and laugh at the optimism with which you wrote it.

Never, I'm old and still squabbling to some degree. My kids argue all the time.

The bickering and picking on each other, about 18 and then they go away for college.

Similar ages- 5, 3, 1. It’s brutal. Someone is always getting hurt. It’s all fun and games until it’s not. And now there’s lying and antagonizing to liven things up. I feel like I yell all the time.

I have a sister close in age and kids close in age. It doesn’t mean anything. Don’t let them make it your problem but assume they so do it forever and just ignore. If my kids (2 and 4) are fighting over a toy and can’t be reasonable about sharing I take the toy and put it out of their reach. Suddenly they remember how to share their other toys.

Mine are 11 and 8 and we have reached peak squabbling. It’s unbearable. I know it’ll pale in comparison to the coming years but it’s really tough right now. And it’s only day 3 of summer break!

My brother and I were both living at home at 22 and 24 and had drag out screaming physical fights.
