PR does have gorgeous white sand beaches in Vieques and Culebra. Plus the bio bay, rain forest, old town, good food.

+1. PR doesn't have white sandy beaches. It's a nice place to visit but that white sand and crystal waters is something that you find in Turks, BVI or similar.
You could hop on a launch to Vieques but that's a hike from PR

Dorado, Puerto Rico. The Ritz Carlton has a waterpark there whcihnis awesome and a beach club with gorgeous beach and swimming pool, plus a Jacques Viustesu program for kids. My daughters loved running around the beach and learning about things there.

Puerto Rico could definitely be a good option. We usually rent a car and drive around. If you're looking for somewhere we you don't need to leave the resort, I also recommend Anguilla.

What kind of things for the kids? We love Anguilla but its very sleepy for most Americans who need to go go go. Our kids (12 and 14) loved it: snorkeling, pool, water sports/hobie cat, and the hotel had other things like tennis, basketball, etc. But no typical American mini golf, amusement parks, kids clubs, etc.

How old are the kids and do they enjoy things like snorkeling? Or are you looking for more man-made attractions like water parks?

Looking for a destination in the Caribbean (does not have to be an island, can be c. america) with amazing amazing white sand beach and ideally a few things to do for kids. Any recommendations much appreciated!
