This. If your membership to VW conveys, great. Pool in the yard, no thanks.

I live in Vienna. Just moved there from FCC where we were members of High Point (which we did have to wait 2 yrs to join). I feel you with the waitlist pool situation. But I'd never buy a house with a pool, even though we don't have kids. Too much of a PITA. We just walked past a friend's house today, a friend with a pool, and he has had a rough year (death of spouse) and hasn't filled his yet. Too much work.

I’d consider installing a pool only if I planned to stay in my Vienna house indefinitely and wouldn’t go to trouble and expense only to increase resale value.

A real estate agent told us recently that since COVID, pools are definitely an asset in the housing market.

We open our pool in April and close in October. It's not that much work.

4 months? You can get 5-6 months of use here. All of May-September plus some nice days in October; more if it's heated.

No sorry OP most people do not want the liability of a pool or the work. It's a pain for less than four months per year worth of use.

I lived in Vienna two blocks from a house where a kid drowned and the pool was filled in. So no.

I would not want a house with a pool but to each their own.

Still deadly for kids for a 4 month user pool

For those who know TOV people and their desire to have access to pool (typically takes 10 years to be offered membership), do you think a pool would increase the value of the house?
