i wouldn't call it disposable income. I was going to have to move her to a medicaid bed in a couple months. I'm grateful that I don't have to put her through that trauma, but I certainly don't have a spare $100,000 after supporting my parents while trying to keep my own family afloat for the last 25 years.

Ok, so we have answers ranging from lunch (not enough) to $100,000 (money i do not have.) Most people seem unified that money, probably cash, is king. I guess a couple hundred per staff member is something I can float, that will still come out to several thousand.

I wrote mine checks cause they don't make much money, gave each of them a plant or flower from the funeral home and also wrote them personal notes.

my parents spent two and three years in memory care, and the staff took good care of them. both my parents have now passed-- what can i do that would be useful/appreciated to show my gratitude to the staff?
