You know your wife better than we do, but I would have been annoyed if my husband spent $1000+ on jewelry as an anniversary present. We have better things to do with our money. The vase was perfect, even though I know the DCUMomwenches will scoff at it.

If your wife doesn't wear a ton of jewelry, then I would recommend against buying her jewelry.

For our 10th anniversary, my husband bought me a really pretty aluminum vase. I filled it with fake branches and it sits in a place where we see it every day.

I am not much of a jewelry person except that my DH likes to give it so I wear it. For a 10th anniversary, I would consider diamond stud earrings (I actually wear these almost every day) or a gold bangle bracelet.

On actual day, give her flowers and take her out for a fancy dinner. It would be ideal if you just ask her if she would prefer jewelry or is there something else she wants more.

I'm not a big jewelry person but we love to travel together. DH got me a tin world map that has these little magnets with sayings on them that you can put on the map. Things like ...where we met, where we said I Do, honeymoon, first trip together, most loved trip, first trip as a family, bucket list trip, etc. Then there was one that said 10th anniversary. We had planned that trip together. I love it.

Don’t buy her jewelry if she hasn’t told you exactly what she wants.

I’m not a jewelry person, and I’ve clearly communicated to my spouse that I don’t want gifts, but he still sometimes buys jewelry and then pouts when I don’t wear it.

I google 10th anniversary gifts and I get tin and aluminum. You’ve got to be kidding me!

If I google “10th anniversary jewelry” then I get every site saying that what they sell is what you need to get (e.g. blue Nile says diamonds, another site said eternity ring, etc.).

I know nothing about jewelry other than my wife doesn’t wear a ton of it. What’s something thoughtful and appropriate for the milestone I can/should get?
