Slightly above middle. It's a guess, but there would be atleast one to two hundred freshman kids in the 4.2 to 4.4 range.

Freshman courses have been intentionally kept easy to discourage dropouts. However, the following two years are filled with unavoidable TJ rigor courses, likely leading to a much wider GPA distribution. The midpoint gpa after junior year in the past has been around 4.4

You're misinformed. The reference is about loudoun county TJ students whose lcps middle school earned HS credits that get automatically transferred to fcps, but as unweighted.

The GPA gets recalculated by most T20 Universities just to compare apples to apples, adds a score for course challenge, and a score for rigor. And regional schools already know the differences. The standardized scores bolster their evaluation.

You two are really arguing on who should be a valedictorian of a different school.

If a student takes algebra 1 and geometry from LCPS and then comes to TJ, then are those courses counted as honors and given weightage appropriately? I know that algebra 2 in LCPS is weighted as honors. But if the other two math credits are not weighted and if it only weighted for FCPS students then that is an unfair advantage.

technically, 4.417 is possible. But more than likely, assuming one language and three math credits transferred from fcps middle school, and PE taken for pass/fail, top freshman GPA is 4.350 .
