It is correct that there is no distinct GA 2 league from the Girls Academy as there is for ECNL-RL. But I don’t agree that it’s just marketing if a club is doing it right. Our club is building GA 1 & 2 as one program internally so that there is access to GA coaches, trainings and the other development tools so that a chasm doesn’t grow between the two culturally or developmentally. GA 2 is a pipeline and especially now there is a lot of opportunity for those players at our club if they work hard and show that potential.

In all seriousness, BC handled the situation like a pro. I too share the positive vibe by the new staff. Time will tell, but being back at practice this week has been good.

They are offering extra programming that my friends in other clubs have to find private trainers for. Rigorous summer training schedule, strength training, conditioning, futsal, nutrition.

Former FCV GA parent here, I'm excited for FCV and hoping for good things. With the short time we had with the new staff they seemed on top of things - wish we would of gotten that exposure to them earlier that might of changed our mind to stay vs leaving.

Now cue the hate unfortunately. It’s just too predictable. The bullying from former parents will continue. These are parents that contributed to the previous toxic divisive and unwelcoming culture. Bullying from some of the competitors who see an opportunity will continue too. But be clear, I am a parent. I am not an employee. I have no agenda except wanting my kid’s club to thrive. I am happy. My kid is happy. My kid is growing. That’s all I care about. The new vision remains to be seen but I think they can get there.

Here is an unbiased and zero agenda take on TSJFC from a parent. I don’t know any staff personally. I don’t try to get “ins” with anyone. I love soccer and I love my kid. That’s all.

My experiences are with the GA North program. I can’t speak to the boys side.

They are cleaning house and working to create a friendly and supportive culture.

The toxic parents have mostly left
but some still remain. I hope they can change their ways and adapt to the new culture BC is trying to create.

BC and his team want to teach GREAT soccer. Not track. Not boot it ball.

BC & other new coaches say they see soccer as training for life. I agree.

I’ve met new families and seen quality players. Of those I’ve met, which certainly isn’t everyone, new players have come from other local clubs. A few are new to the area.

GA Director is amazing, passionate, and seems very sincere. I hope he can bring his vision to life.

We have our fields, trainings and events locked for the summer. Not yet sure about the fall as is typical of most clubs. We are pretty sure we know where we will be but it needs to be confirmed. We do not have our own “home” and I don’t know when/if we will. I’m okay with that for the time being but maybe not forever. For now it’s fine for us.

Club is going through a period of change. I am ok with that because I see a lot of great seeds being planted.
