Besides for trying new restaurants, I’m feeling we need new activities to do together. But what?
We pursue separate activities/hobbies, that way we have things to talk about.
Together activities: We do trivia nights. We take daytrips. We might jump on the pickleball bandwagon. We go to festivals. We attend events at the Dulles Expo Center. We go stargazing in the Shenandoah. We take cooking classes together. We went to a drive-in movie recently.
NP. We're like the PP and spouse above. Like to travel, whether it's to another city for a long weekend, a longer trip, or just a day trip to someplace here in the area. We go to the theater a lot and always have. We go to concerts (lots of free ones in this area, all year long). Museums here and elsewhere. Historic sites.
But OP--what are your already existing shared interests with your spouse? If you're floundering to come up with things to do as a couple other than just eat out--don't you share interests already? If not, why not, and would taking a fun class together help generate some mutual, shared interest, maybe?
