It must be like this in all the malls because I notice it in the Dulles Town Center also, just walking by turns me away from going in there.

My 13 year old could not take it.

They might think that makes her uncool and not worthy of wearing their brand. Hate, hate, hate the arrogance of this company. Also, I remember when they had the "incident" with their catalog several years ago (it got pulled b/c it was pornographic..and some of the model were under age) AND they were selling thong underwear to young girls.

I dont know but that certainly describes Sephora. I just hold my nose, run in, get what I need, and run back out.

Sephora is a perfume and cosmetics store. What do you expect it to smell like?

Also the people that look for clothes there get befuddled by the darkness and decibels and end up buying more.

I've read that the purpose of the loud music is not to attract but repel certain customers, ie parents or anyone old/not of their demographic.

OMG! My DD talked me into going there about 6 months ago. We also ran out within minutes. I know that the music has to be above legal OSHA limits. Maye they should be reported. I would never let my kid work there. Of course, kids are going to listen to loud music but to be exposed to this on the job seems criminal.

We routinely run out of those stores sooner than we expect to because of the noise (Montgomery Mall). Am I the only one who can't take it? Even my teenagers think it ridiculous.
