I’ve been inspired by the incredible conversations happening on this forum every day, and I thought it might be beneficial for us to connect on a deeper level. How about forming a support group where we can meet regularly via Zoom?

The goal would be to discuss our parenting strategies, advocacy tactics, and ways to maintain our sanity. There are so many posts here, and sometimes it feels like we’re all hiding behind our screens. Let’s change that!

I’m proposing we form groups based on our children’s unique needs, such as:
Group 1: ASD Level 1 + ADHD + Anxiety
Group 2: Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD)
(We can add more groups based on interest.)

If you’re interested, please comment below with your preferred group and availability. I can organize an introductory meeting. Looking forward to connecting with you all in a more personal and supportive way!
OP: Please fill out this form if you are interested! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfmb9XmzyGjOYVXpSu3WTtiF5oIsc5CA-Ac8VEOUHxjrxDJvg/viewform

Why you need so much info? Just post a zoom link the day of.

+1 too much information giving out

That would be great--from self-interest, interested in connecting with others whose children struggle with low muscle tone, emotional regulation, aggression.

These was my exact feelings. I almost suggested a group for older teen parents but this is exactly what my kid wouldn’t want me to do at this point. I think this is a great idea. This forum has been so supportive for me over the years and I’m still checking frequently as we are almost at *gulp* the college years now.
