Teachers will find out more on Thursday/Friday (teacher workdays to end the year) and in the pre-service days in August before school starts up again.
Moral of the story: If this is true, spring scores likely do not matter for much going into next year. The focus will be on the new assessment method. I would doubt i-Ready would be used for AAP applications next year if it's not given in the fall.

Will FCPS also abandon Lexia and ST math?

Long story short, my kid has been scoring really well on the NNAT, CoGAT, and even the HOPE tests, but his i-Ready scores were a disaster. I was so confused because he's a math genius! I asked his 1st-grade teacher but got no clear answer. In 2nd grade, the same bad i-Ready scores kept coming until his teacher told me she noticed he sometimes answers randomly.
I confronted my son, and he admitted to it, promising not to do it again. Lo and behold, in the spring i-Ready math test, he scored 98% after consistently getting 84%!
I'm thrilled we figured out the issue but bummed he lost his spot in AAP because of it. Does anyone know if it's super hard to get back in during 3rd grade?
I have no idea what DC was doing. 2nd grader
Fall: Reading 68%; Math 98%
Winter: Reading 72%; Math: 84%
Spring: Reading 98%; Math: 64%
I don't know how to understand these scores.
