Yes, same and the fact that the no container option isn’t on the first page is just stupid. So sorry Whole Foods I’m choosing a random container and you’re losing out on the one cent charge lol.

IMO Amazon doesn’t care very much about user experience. They know we are all willing to pay for the convenience. For example, look at the website’s search filters or notifications settings on the app. They’re terrible!

Ours too (MoCo). You have to angle items every which way to try and get the scanner to read the barcode. I never have this problem at Safeway or Giant. The WF barcode readers seem generally less efficient.

Don't use them. 1)They are there so they can hire fewer people. Fewer jobs means higher unemployment and is bad for your community. 2) you will be accused of theft when you do the job incorrectly.

I was excited to be mad about this but they seemed totally fine to me.

I didn't notice, OP. I'm sure yours will get fixed rapidly.

Right, the poor worker, that stands there on their phone all day while the rest of us do the work.

I have not noticed this at all at our local WF. They are updated but working fine.

Np here, haven't used the new machines yet but sometimes at WF (the one in H St) there's no one in the checkout lanes so it's only self checkout. I never purposely choose it unless I only have a couple items because it almost always takes longer even when it's working of ok when I buy a lot of produce and bulk items you need to key in.

Hmmm. I noticed the new check outs at WF today and thought they are much better...

Both WFs near me suddenly now have new self checkout programs on their monitors. Not sure why as the previous one was just fine but this new one is astonishing in how much worse it is and it now seems to take twice a long to scan and check out the groceries! There was a back up of people waiting and the worker monitoring the checkouts was apologetic and admitted the new program was slowing everyone down. I'm amazed because typically Amazon is super efficient with their technology and making them so user-friendly, but the new self checkouts genuinely do seem like a massive regression to the computers of 20 years ago! Why would they do this?
