I don't believe that there is an expectation that the LIV kids pass advanced. The committee placed kids are not impacted one way or the other, they cannot be removed from the LIV program.
The Principal Placed kids and the kids in Advanced Math probably need to have stronger scores in order to maintain their spot in the class.
Our school uses the cluster method, so we don't have Principal placement. We do have Advanced Math that starts in 3rd grade. I know that SOL scores and iReady scores are part of how they determine who should be in Advanced Math. I don't pretend to know what the cut off is in order to be included in the Advanced Math group but I would guess simply pass the math SOL could be problematic.
