Not that hard. One of my friends named her daughter that. It's fine. And yes, sleeping beauty reference.

Beautiful name! Not hard to pronounce once kids are no longer toddlers.

Nope. Mother of Samantha in Bewitched. Only kid’s grandparents will get the reference.

I guess it’s semi tricky when you analyze it but I grew up with an Aurora and she was hilarious and cool and had the coolest family of five daughters. I say go for it.

I do find Rory and Aurora a bit tricky for whatever reason, but if you love it, go for it.

OP here, I think so too. I’ve been told to consider another name because it’s too hard to pronounce.

It's not hard to say at all for adults - it's a word most people know.

Some young kids can't say Rs but plenty of names have them. My 3yo DS has a name with an R that he says as. W right now and it's so cute.

If your kid has trouble with rs it will be rough, and you don't know that until a year or two in. If you are ok with the kid calling herself a-wo-wah then go for it.

Not at all. DS had an Aurora in his K class and I was in the class a ton and kids really didn't seem to have any issues.

No it’s not hard.

Aw roar ah or uh roar uh will be most common

Yes it is hard to pronounce. It's starts with an unusual vowel combo (which some will pronounce "oh" and others "ah" but some will be unsure) and then the repetition of the r in "raw-ruh" will turn lots of mouths to mush even if you normally have good diction.

Is this name really that hard to pronounce? If so, what about it makes it so difficult?
