I hate the constant smell on the road, too. We finally banned smoking cigarettes and now have to deal with this smell. Can’t keep my windows open at home or in my car because of it.

Why would you need odor to be a pretext? If the driver is impaired then you can see that clearly from their actual driving patterns. You can 100% be pulled over and checked for sobriety if there is reasonable suspicion of impairment. You guys are fear mongering.

I drive on 495 and 270 in MD almost every day and I observe active users driving or as passengers in cars in traffic at least weekly. I just had to pull over to compose myself after getting stuck behind one of these cars in traffic. The odor was so overwhelming that I could feel the effects without opening my windows.

Is this legal? Why? If not, why do these people get away with it?
