It will be ok. You sensed something was off. Good for you! You dodged a bullet. Go do something nice for yourself and forget about him.

I’m curious, what did he say that felt “off?” This may be useful for other people.

He said that he had to get off the phone because his son and grandson were pulling up. He explained that his son needed him. He was now a single dad who worked overnight and He would watch his grandson overnight.

He didn't say I'll text you later, he couldn't talk until the next day. I remember thinking wow, he started as a really young grandad. I discovered through sleuthing that he also lied about his age by 10 years.

It happens. A friend was seeing a guy and we all knew something was off because they never had any real dates -- he works in a public place and would have her come visit him at work, and he would go to her place. He claimed he was in the middle of getting a divorce. She started digging and found out he and his wife closed on a new house while she was dating him and he was supposedly separated.

This happened to me too. Started dating someone and then after a month or two in they shared they were still married. It happens, it sucks, and people suck sometimes!
