This is OP - my experience with sending checks via the bank is that it takes much longer - like 7-10 days to arrive.

I don't think it will save time unless you are setting up automatic payments. They still mail paper checks to people (Bank of America at least). I paid my cleaners via bill payment and when I had it set to pay on Thursdays she would often not get it until Friday or Saturday, so I changed it to "arrive" on Tuesdays. So the payment amount would have to be the same every week to make this work.

Thank you for the replies. I'm trying to avoid the potential tax consequences of using a personal Venmo account, and don't want to pay the fees associated with a business Venmo account. Zelle sounds like a good option but my bank appears to one of the only ones that doesn't use it. Additional ideas welcomed with gratitude!

I pay elder care providers for my father and sending checks via US mail is slow and unreliable. Can you recommend payment app? I don’t need service to calculate payroll, but just to send funds. Caregivers are being pad legally.
