You should look at Stingrays. They are one of the best in VA and are tied to the national Stingrays team which has many benefits. My daughter did cheer at 3 different places and by far stingrays is the best.

In addition to these you can look at Cheer Extreme DMV (right across from twisters moco) and Cheer Prodigy in Rockville (which is starting back up this year).

Thank you so much, I never heard of Cheer Prodigy!

Both are really good programs, with a heavier focus on tumbling (some gyms are better at stunting). I'd take a free class at each and decide which is better for you money/drive/comfortability with the gym and coaches.

I know people with kids at Phoenix and they love it.

We switched to Phoenix and love it. It’s a drive for us, but it’s a well-run organization and it feels like a safe space for athletes learn and grow.

I'm interested in any responses, too... one of my kids may be interested in pursuing cheer eventually, and Phoenix has many more teams (beginner through advanced) than Capital. But we have no experience yet with either, so any info I have is just what I've seen online.

Our daughter has outgrown capital cheer as they are more for beginners. They only go up to level three. I say this because it gets recommended a lot and we have been there. We are now joining Phoenix, does anyone have any experience?
