They wear a seat belt or they don't ride in my vehicle, That applies to adults as well.

Not negotiable, of course they must have a seat belt. And if you are an adult in my car and you don’t put on a seat belt, you can get out and walk.

This is a matter of life and death, OP, so how could it possibly be something you wouldn't make an issue of?

(Not just life and death but risk of head injury, paralysis, chronic pain, ugly scars, recovery time, financial cost. . .)

I know that you do not want to think so, but wearing a seatbelt in the car is indeed different than wearing a bike helmet (in the eyes of the law, and in the eyes of most people).

Of course you make it an issue. And it's strange that this would even be a problem. If you're in a vehicle, you wear a seatbelt. Why wouldn't you?

Two of my cousins died from this. Would have lived if they had seatbelts on. Show them crash tests if you need to.
