I kicked it old school with Sun In yesterday and the results were perfect.

agree I have the same problem with the toner. I now ask them not to use toner.

Doesn't that make it orange?

Most people have trouble with theirs turning orange, hence the toner. Sounds like you have thr opposite problem. Maybe tell the hairdresser your hair skews ashy.

Sounds dumb but just spray lemon juice on your hair and go outside a lot. You’ll get the exact highlights you want for the price pf a few lemons

I get highlights in the summer on my dark blonde hair and they always come back looking weird color due to toner. They either come out very ashy, too warm or sometimes even kinda mushroomy. It takes several shampoos for the toner to was out and the highlights to look somewhat close to what I want.

Why is it so hard to get beachy/sunkissed blonde highlights around here? What should I be asking for at the salon?
