Yes.

I wouldn’t drive or use dangerous equipment or drink alcohol with it in case it’s more potent.

I have taken 10+ year old lorazepams before. They worked just fine.

I would because a doctor told me some meds where still good 10 years after the expiration date. It might not work as well but it's something. Also there are only a very few drugs that are dangerous after they expire you can look them up.

Pharmacist just said she can’t recommend taking a medication beyond its expiration date but I know I have read that those dates are arbitrary. Anyone taken a ten year old benzo? Was it effective?

They aren’t addicted unless you have addict tendencies. I have lots of diazepam from an old prescription that I might use twice a year. I’m not addicted or they would be long gone.

You needed Xanax for your wedding? Why? Are you still married?

I sure would if I needed one. Wouldn’t think twice about it. But that’s me.

Some drugs lose potency while others actually become more potent and toxic over time. Make sure it’s not the latter.

I still have Xanax from my 2012 wedding. My doctor said it has probably lost potency.

I would risk it if it were a couple of years but not 10.

I've done it and it still has some potency.

I would and would just expect a lessened efficacy. Not that it turned into a different medicine.
