Metta Montessori in Arlington is great! Tons of outside time, in almost all weather for the kids. Lots of natural materials. I think the youngest they take is ~16 months, though.

Agree to tour with your eyes wide open, and keep in mind they probably are at their very best when someone is touring.

They take the babies in buggy rides through the park and sometimes have them on blankets outside. They also have age appropriate and safe toys. Please don't be taken in my buzz words. In search of a Reggio or Montessori inspired daycare in Arlington/Alexandria area for my baby who will be about 10 months old when he starts. Does anyone have any recommendations? I am looking for a place with a nice outdoor space that uses natural materials--no over cluttering or use of plastic toys with batteries. I appreciate any recommendations!
