I would freeze the links and then defrost. I think pre cooking and freezing would dry out the meat more.

Can I brown the sausage and freeze it to use early next week? My culinary skills are pretty narrow and my family prefers freshly prepared, so I don't usually don't cook meals in advance save a few hours or so.
