There was one by Arundel Mills but maybe it’s been removed since then. I remember it not being super noticeable while driving that it was happening. You’re just driving and following the road. I was super intrigued by it at the time and was disappointed it wasn’t more interesting.

You’re right. Something this complicated can only be understood by people who live in European countries that border each other but even after millennia still speak different languages.

I have driven on a different one somewhat regularly. It is VERY confusing at first, and the signage has to be impeccable. And even still it will take some getting used to. Another thing, in the winter, if the roads are snowy it gets even harder to tell where you're supposed to be.

I'm not sure if the one Im thinking of has benefited the area that much, but it was a pretty terrible intersection to start with, so it's probably not worse overall.

We have them where I live. It has definitely helped the flow of traffic but they still are weird.

It looks like it might work, although I'm not sure it goes when only 90% of people know how to deal with it. Seems like a small number of confused drivers could gum it up.

How about something more universal, like the zipper merge? Can we make the zipper merge a thing?

+1, I'm there often and it seems to work well, but I'm never there at rush hour.

When I was little, my parents freaked out the first time they encountered a roundabout in the UK - they didn't exist in their home country at the time.

People will get used to diamond interchanges. Apparently they're quite efficient.

I have to drive through this multiple times a week and it is confusing, frustrating and time consuming (the traffic lights aren’t timed).
