I mainly use mixed chicks for my curly haired daughters.
We also keep sauve coconut conditioner in our pool bag. It’s lightly scented and also curly girl hair approved (plus very affordable).

I am very sensitive to scents (migraines). While I prefer the scent of the Volumizing, Smoothing is better for my hair. The scent of Smoothing isn't my favorite, but it is light and I can't smell it once I dry my hair.

Also wanted to say that their products are vegan, cruelty free, and "clean".

I found Pantene Essential Botanicals moisturizing shampoo/conditioner at Costco a few months ago. I love it! The scent is very mild—coconut and strawberry— and it’s sulfate/paraben/dye free. It works really well for both my wavy hair, and my DD’s straight/easily tangled hair. The only downside is I think it’s only available at Costco (or on their website). I haven’t seen smaller bottles of it anywhere.

Trader Joe's and Whole Foods have lots of shampoos that are not disgustingly fragranced, ime.

Cleure is totally unscented and Acure is only very lightly scented but a little splurgier.

There are a lot more options at Target. Search for curly hair unscented.

We all use Mixed chicks shampoo and conditioner. I order it online.
Or EO brands.

My 2nd grader wants a grown up shampoo and conditioner but she doesn’t love strong floral scents. She’s ok with coconut scents, a light/clean scent or no scent. She has curly hair.

Any suggestions? I actually have some of the same preferences so I’ll try out the suggestion too!

I’ve gone to cvs to sniff out products, but most either smells super strong or has tin foil beneath the cap so that you can’t smell it before purchasing. What lightly scented or unscented shampoo/conditioner do you love? Bonus points if it doesn’t have all of the ingredients wet are told to avoid (parabens, etc.).
