Can you get Amazon fresh or insta cart delivered to hotel instead?

OP here. We are going to get wine, mainly, and I can’t find a delivery service for that.

Depending on where you’re going some resort destination shuttles will offer a stopover at a store.

Get the groceries delivered, don't make an Uber wait for this.

I agree. I can be in and out in 10 minutes if I grab one thing, for example, if I need flour. But if I'm shopping for groceries, even with a list, I need at least 30 minutes.

Open the Uber app and tap the “Where To?” box
Tap the “+” to add up to 5 additional stops

Stops will be made in the order they’re added. To remove a stop, tap the X next to it. To reorder stops, press and hold the “=” next to the stop you want to move, and drag it up or down to where you want to move it to.

The upfront price you’re shown may change due to a number of circumstances which may include:

Adding stops
Updating your destination
Significant changes to the route or duration of the trip
You pass through a toll that was not factored into your upfront price.
In addition, you may incur wait time fees for the time you take to get to the car at the pickup or multi-stop fees for time spent at an on-trip stop.

To see the applicable rates, tap the “i” on the ride option screen before you request a ride. If you’re splitting your far, it will be split for the entire ride, not split by the cost of each stop.

This feature is not available on UberXShare rides.

That is great! I didn’t know you could do it.

I wouldn’t trust that a stop for groceries would only take 10 min. Maybe if it was an Instacart pickup order?

I had absolutely no idea. I’m glad I asked! Thank you so much, PP!

We are taking a trip next week, using Uber to get from airport to resort, where we will stay for the duration of our trip. We’d like to stop to grab some groceries en route.

Options are obvious:

Order Uber from airport to grocery store, then another to hotel.

Or:

Order Uber from airport to grocery store, then persuade driver to wait around (10 minutes tops) and then arrange another ride with them to hotel.

If you’ve done this, what option did you end up using? How much would you tip for them to wait vs just ordering a different Uber?
