This. It will tell you in a while if that is cause. If it doesn't change, then perhaps the acne is from another cause (e.g., being a teen).

I know that certain products clog my pores easily -- they'll give me forehead, temporal, and back acne. So it definitely could be the culprit.

Some other things I'd consider:
Does she use styling products? Wear hats? Rub her forehead with her hand when tired or sweaty? How often is her pillowcase washed?

We really like District Dermatology in Tyson’s.

Agree. It probably is not the shampoo. Try the PPs suggestion of having her wash her face last. She could also try using dandruff shampoo and washing her forehead with it also. That seems to be very helpful for some.

She is being absurd about shampoo scents and you should tell her that

My kids use Teenology and I guess I don’t understand the complaint. Those are scented and smell very nice. And there are three scents to choose from. Is the bottle not pretty enough?

I think at a certain point you can’t be indulging someone who’s impossible to please. Function must win over form sometimes.

Her forehead acne is probably not related to her shampoo but more typical teenage hormonal acne. See a dermatologist but likely they will try stuff like differin, antibiotics and even stronger stuff if those don’t work.

Pretty enough? As in the bottle that stays in the shower? She needs to pick her poison: acne or a clean shampoo.

My daughter is breaking out on her forehead from her shampoo and conditioner and needs new ones. The recommended brands (SEEN, Teenology, a few natural brands) are getting the thumbs down because they are not scented or pretty enough -- and that is why I am posting this in teens and tweens, not beauty and fashion. Any recommendations?
