You need a certain number of verified math credits to graduate, and this is a high school course. So check with your kid's counselor.

I think you have to take a certain number in high school, but I don’t know about middle school.

Specifically is the geometry SOL mandatory in 8th grade? DC took the Algebra 1 SOL in 7th.
