Part of the problem ^^.

This book is GREAT. I read a lot of running books, and this has been one of my favorites.

I think "Born to Run" would be great. There are a lot of good books out there, but they can be a little dark. For example, I loved "Running Ransom Road," but it's about the author working his way back from alcoholism.

For movies Macfarland USA is great, and so is Without Limits (but again, dark!)

Local SJC Track and CC coach Desmond Dunham has a great memoir. He has an inspirational story, and it is an engaging read.

I wonder if he wouldn't be interested in David Goggins Can't Hurt Me: Master Your Mind and Defy the Odds

I would look at all them before recommending them to your son.

So good.

My 15-year-old son doesn't read very much but he is obsessed right now with running, having started with the cross country and track teams this year. I noticed he picked Unbroken off our shelves and is reading it, which is about a former Olympian (runner) who gets shot down during WWII. I'm guessing he was drawn to it because of the running parts of the book. Anyone have other recommendations of books he might enjoy that feature runners or running? Thanks!
