At some point I just accepted I was going to sweat and just acclimated to that feeling of being sweaty all the time when I was outside. Also no longer commuting to an office where I needed to wear actual business clothes has helped a lot.
I also am better at embracing going to the public pool and the beach. I wasn't against these things before but I grew up in a cooler climate where you didn't HAVE to do this stuff to get cool. I took me a while to get in the rhythm of planning theses outings as a way to combat the heat.
But still, those first few hot sticky days are never welcome. I always wind up reassessing my whole wardrobe and pulling out anything at all that will trap heat or show sweat, for the duration.

I want to slap someone whenever I hear them saying something like this. I will never understand how anyone can enjoy this kind of weather.
Like pp I do enjoy a good thunderstorm, but the swampiness, the bugs, the blazing sun with the humidity. There's a reason "hell" in so many religions is described as hot. Because it's effing awful.

For me, having a bunch of linen shorts and breezy tops is essential. Also saying F it with hair and makeup for two months
