Tubing sounds fun! Was there a specific company you used?

James River Runners and Rivanna River Company are both great

Omni is redone but often hosts weddings and guests can get a little out of control.

Check out The Draftsman (autograph hotel by Marriott). Really nice, great location and can walk to the downtown mall.

Heard good things about the Quirk too.

The Omni is also nice.

Kids' schedules will allow husband and I two nights away this summer and Cville makes sense logistically. Any recommendations for restaurants and lodging appreciated! We stayed at the Clifton Inn and ate at 1799 years ago and loved it. Could repeat, but would prefer to find something new. Fine with out of town or in. If out of town, would love a pool. If in the "city," would love to be able to walk to dinner. Ideally under $400 / night for hotel (so Keswick is too much). What's noteworthy? Thanks!
