Alexandria was $376 total, all-in. Seems like a bargain for 16 training sessions + 8 games, although we won't make all of them. Many of the best players on the team are not doing it, but some are.

Actually spending the summer in NJ and we found a team that is $450 for this. Not bad. Problem is that you might have 3 games in the same weekend (F/S/S) and that might be the 1 weekend you are away

USL-Y participating teams have varying costs, but agree with PP that an 8 week USL-Y program (practice twice per week and 1-2 games per weekend) is gonna be way cheaper than doing privates, say 2-3 times a week. And you can't get in-game intensity and training from a private, no mater how good the coach is. Admittedly, some of the competition in the MA division is not strong, but staying in game-ready shape is critical during the summer so that you're ready to go in late July/early Aug when club season starts back up. I don't think someone new to the area and new to a team would be wasting their money playing in USL-Y.
