What grade are you looking to go into? Some grades are quite small and some are large.

Dufief is fantastic

It’s a great neighborhood school

It's also a 4/10 on Great Schools so clearly there is room for improvement. I am sure her private school is better than that.

That score is B.S.

Look at standardized test scores on MCPS report card - you can filter out kids w/ disabilities and you will see scores comparable to lakewood, stone mill, travilah, etc.

Suuure!!!

ELA 3 - 82.9%
ELA 4 - 95%
ELA 5 - 93.3%

Math 3 - 80%
Math 4 - 89.5%
Math 5 - 83.9%

Go check the other schools, moron.

And clearly, such kind parents too! Should have just paid the extra money and moved to Stonebridge.

Those ratings are without context. The school houses a large self-contained special ed program (Learning Center) where the students are at least 2+ years below grade level but still on diploma track, so their test scores (which are inevitably all failing the state tests, or their IEPs would be for a less restrictive placement) skew the school's results down. It's also a small neighborhood and the special ed program takes up a good third of the school population so it has a heavy impact on their numbers. It has no bearing on the academic performance of the regular gen ed classes. It's basically two schools in one but the "at a glance" ratings don't make that at all clear.

I am sure they are. Other than the principal, the staff is one demographic - white women. Must be comfy.

In private school now but thinking of using our home school. Anyone have any current feedback?
