One is ranked almost 20 spots higher than the other. That's probably where that comes from. Also we're talking about business, so there's no comparison. Yes you can get a finance job from Tufts but investment banking, or PE, Asset management and other more prestigious finance jobs are out of reach.

I think Emory has a northeast vibe as well. I think Atlanta is a more fun city than Boston too.

This! Some on dcum think they're peers, but in the real world they're not. Prestige isn't a reason to only pick a school OP but Emory is more prestigious. ESPECIALLY for business, if it was a humanities like international relations or something then thngs would change but Tufts doesn't have anywhere near the placement Emroy has.

Overall, Emory is tier(s) above Tufts, and that distinction has only grown over the years.

Did he get off a waitlist? Either way Emory, and yes there's a difference in prestige.

I personally would pick tufts for Boston and sport.

My son is struggling to decide whether Emory or Tufts is better for him. He appreciates a 'work-hard play-hard' mindset among students (where Emory beats Tufts), but also wants to be surrounded by kids from the Northeast (where Tufts might beat Emory). Also, he can likely walk onto a varsity sport at Tufts, but not at Emory.

Is there a palpable prestige difference between the two schools? How are the social scenes at Tufts/Emory?
