I work from home and looooooved having my house back again to grab lunch when I wanted, work from other rooms, come and go etc without having to time it around where the kids and nanny were. Use the saved money to send out laundry, buy premade meals, and take on some of the other work. The sick days are a little more disruptive but the kids are also old enough now I can park them on a screen all day when sick and still work to the extent I need to
OP here. This is where I am. I have worked from home since Covid and am so ready to have them in school and have a quiet house. People talk about the sick days, but the truth is they're still disruptive -- I have to take off work to take them to the doctor, and when they don't feel good they want mom anyway. I'm really sad because I love her, they love her and I know she loves them and it will be difficult for her, but at the same time I'm ready for the next chapter. Just not sure I 100% know what I'm in for....
