It is a one-letter difference, OP. One letter. Surely a typo. Not something to take personally in the slightest degree.
Is this email about something very serious like a job interview or offer, a legal issue, or some other crucial business matter? I can't figure out why a one-letter mistake would rattle someone so badly unless (1) it was done frequently, which isn't what you're saying happened, or (2) the mistake was in a very serious communication from a sender who knew me personally. If neither is true -- think about
why this is taking up so much head space for you.
