Really? The camp where my son is a CIT (he is only 14) keeps sending out emails that they are desperately seeking counselors (must be at least 16). Or are you just referencing non-camp jobs?

Does she play any sports? My son has had some success doing private soccer training and tennis lessons. He is generally good with younger kids.

Arlington County has openings for Recreation Activities Assistants where the minimum age is 14 (It's on Indeed). I could've sworn that Fairfax County Rec Centers had posted jobs for assistants for adapted swim classes where 14 year olds could apply, but I can't find those anymore.

Our pool employes 14y olds to be gate guards (check pool passes when guestes arrive.)

My 14yo DD is desperate to find a part time job over the summer. I get the sense that lots of places do not employ teens that young - is that in fact the case? Would be grateful for any suggestions or pointers. I already know she can look for babysitting work.
