What are your kids specific needs? In middle school there are grade level classes and advanced classes. If your child needs remediation there is a separate elective called math strategies that is recommended alongside. Look up the middle school and high school math pathway documents to see the course options. Self-contained is not recommended if you are in the diploma track. All grade level and advanced classes are usually offered as a cotaught class for students who need accommodations and some support in math.

Hi, we are very likely moving to VA next year and looking in Arlington. Our kid is at grade level for ELA and has a SLD for math. No behavioral issues, ADHD, not dyslexia (we suspect dyscalculia). Appreciate any information insights on MS and the high schools. Is Yorktown much better than Washington Liberty.
