In our experience it really depends on which teacher was assigned. The first summer semester the teacher was much more involved in going over the content during the live sessions. The second summer semester it was a different teacher and they were just expecting the students to work through it on their own and they used the live sessions kind of like office hours. It was a lot of work on their own either way.

There seem to be so few asynchronous classes and they are really short. Is the truth about this that they are not teaching anything and students basically have to learn everything on their own? How much homework is given or how much should kids expect to spend on their own time a day? This is a math course.
