A few years ago, pre covid, I had an estimate for fiberglass Provia door and sidelites and transom. It was north of $10k.

Is that all the work they did?

That sounds like a rip off.
NP. But, I’ve had 3 estimates and they are all around $10k. New framing, new side window lights, plus new door. That includes the install.

Was this on a townhouse?

Or a multimillion dollar single family?

Two different things. I am interested in prices for townhomes.

I just got two new Provia doors and it was around $6,000. These were doors for the back of the house so I went pretty cheap but did pay extra for a specific style lock on each.

I didn’t do it so I don’t know. Provia is a good door and I think it was the sidelites and the transom that were adding to a lot of the price. I’d love to hear what others have paid for similar because I do want to get it done. I don’t want a steel or wood door for my front door.

I’m in a townhouse so I have HOA limitations and can’t get too fancy. Hoping for less. I do need a steel door per HOA rules.

I got a Provia fiberglass front door with the sidelites and transom, as well as another, smaller Provia fiberglass door for the side of my house for $10,000 total (including installation). This was 2 years ago. In MoCo. A second estimate was about the same too.

Also, your HOA may require specific door or color

This is for a front door on a townhouse.

How can anyone estimate this when you don't tell us what you want? There's a huge price difference between a solid wood, multiple lite door and a cheap fiberglass door with no lites. You have to provide more info.

OP, please report back if you get the work done, as this is something I have been considering doing.

Homedepot or Lowe’s is best bet for an estimate
