It has gotten better in the past couple of years. It adjusts better to traffic than it used to. But if you are very used to CarPlay, you will miss all its other features. I never had CarPlay, so I find it too much when I use it in a rental- i like to turn on “do not disturb” when I drive and remain oblivious to texts.

it works well, and it improves over time. I wish Tesla allowed for carplay but they don't and never will.

Sometimes I double check directions on google maps and they typically are the same

Tesla navigation is excellent. I’m not sure what it uses but it’s great and so much easier than in my other car where I have to use car play to get anything decent

Considering a Tesla but was surprised to see that there is no Carplay connectivity. I like using Waze. Wondering how Tesla's navigation compares to Waze?
