I own multiple Jeeps, so am a frequent windshield replacement customer with State Farm as our insurer. Safelight has always been willing to provide OEM replacement glass.

Actually, I think my insurance paid what they would have to the OEM place and I paid the difference. I think the total was $1700.

I have State Farm and told them I wanted OEM. Took car to dealer.

I would not use Safelite. They use Chinese glass and it's not OEM. I broke the windshield of my Mercedes. I would not trust non OEM glass as there are too many sensors that might not work. Insurance won't cover OEM though, so I think I ended up paying about $1700.

Hello,

State Farm's "partner" or third-party for windshields claims in a company called Lynx and they have given me independent several shops in Rockville that they work with along with the company Safelite.

Since the car is one year old, I am pushing Lynx to use OEM. I am wondering if anyone in montgomery county has gone through this and has insight or things to look out.

Second, I am wondering if Safelite is a reputable company or just a marketing machine with poor quality products and techs.
