I don't like either of these candidates. But I swore I would never vote for White again after he said he wanted to keep schools closed longer during covid. Ironic he's now all about helping youth. I read the Post article and both candidates seem pretty hostile to growth.

I was wondering why Rodney is not competing for the Ward 7 or 8 seats given how much he talks about his SE roots, but it seems he currently lives in Ward 3.

PP here. I swear that my 11 yr old DS legitimately started to tell me to vote for Red solely on the basis that he appears “more fun than the other ones” on his signs. I didn’t even really realize that White was up for at-large and that I need to vote in June. I was pleasantly surprised to read that Grant seems legitimate and like he has the sort of practical approach we need. And I bear a big grudge against White because he wanted to keep schools closed even longer during Covid. So yep, Grant has my vote.

Rodney is the rare candidate who has much more substance than his promotional material would indicate. The WTOP interview is very good, but his signs make him look like he’s just having some fun.

Rodney, stop with the posts.

It’s obvious.

Probably the best choice that’s possible.

Apparently he’s a comedian! And a bike rider! And pro-police but also pro-police reform! Pro small business and mentions the rat problem! He actually seems really great. Got my vote why not.

Ha ha my DS loves Red Grant because he “looks fun on the posters.” I may vote for him on that basis - why not?

I’m voting for Grant. The entire current Council is a disaster.

Yeah. I look at those and think that then I notice them all over and it feels like he's spent an appreciable amount of money buying them. Doesn't seem to connect.
