Yes, this is the very best option. Tell her to call 9-1-1 and report you.

I hope the neighbor does..

Same. It’s a civil matter and the police can do nothing.

This would have gotten an immediate shocked laugh and a 'No!' from me.

I would have let the shock show on my face and explained the only time I scratch/receive a ticket is if someone gets one for me- I don't waste money on them. So finding them free on the street was perfect- and you got what you paid for-nothing.

This neighbour is one to watch- for continued/future paranoia.

Eh, I feel like there are neighbors like this everywhere. Lesson learned. Scratch at home!

She wants money? she needs to prove she bought them.

Don't worry about maintaining cordial relationship with this neighbor. She's incredibly uncouth.

+1
Exhibit A. She buys scratch tickets.

Show me proof they were yours??? So rude lol.

If you want to maintain a nice relationship, paying the $10 is a nice gesture. If you dont GAF, I'd pretend like they were winners and say "finders keepers!" and close the door.

I found two scratch offs in the street. They were unscratched so I scratched them, not a winner but that was fun!

Anyway, the neighbor who dropped them came over to tell me she saw me on the ring camera pick them up off the street. She says she wants the money for them ($10 each) or she wants proof they weren’t winners.

Idk where I put them and now I’m wondering if I have to reimburse her? (I know I don’t have to in a legal sense, I guess I mean more in a social sense?)
