Those covers are pointless. The leaves end up getting caked on, rendering the gutters useless. Better to have wide gutters (if possible) and clean them regularly.
Our covers have worked fine for years and years, no cleaning and no caking. Previous owner installed, so not sure which company or brand. We have many trees.

Do you just climb on a ladder and clean them with your hands? Or is there an extension tool? I'm 52, female, fear of heights.

Just cleared mine today since during that downpour the other night I could hear water pouring over the gutters and down the siding into my foundation. I cleaned them in the winter. I was surprised how full they were. And it doesn’t take much to cause issues.
I need to look into gutter covers.

We got a less expensive alternative to Leaf Filter to cover our gutters, and it was well worth it!
