XC90 owner here - if you are paying for daycare you don’t need a 3 row car.
Car pool starts in 2nd grade, maybe 1st if you know the other family well or you live very close together.

If you like your BMW, you should drive the Audi 3 row SUV. Buy a certified pre-owned coming off a 3 year lease.

buy a nice handling sedan. That's where it should be. Then buy a pilot. Best car and will hold up until you are ready for a smaller SUV.

If you just want a bigger car just get the minivan, the sliding doors are a game changer. If you don't want a bigger car that's actually good for children, just stick to your vmw the kids will fit in either of them.

You could have a perfectly good kidmobile for 30K. You're thinking about spending 40K more than that for performance and handling while your kids cry and you listen to the shit music they demand?
