+1 I know Emily Blunt is thin, but really can’t conjure up a mental image of her body type. Postpartum seems like one of the worst times to try to reinvent your body into a much leaner version of your normal self. This is the time to focus on being well nourished, well hydrated, and if nursing, eating enough calories for breastmilk production. I wouldn’t even attempt such a transformation while breastfeeding. Even if you aren’t breastfeeding, your body needs time to recover. Your rib cage was spread wider open, all your organs got pushed out of the way, your uterus expanded many times over and has to shrink back, your blood volume doubled. Give yourself the grace you deserve.
