We could see lighter areas towards the north here in Great Falls but no real colors. You could tell there was something up behind the clouds. I went out for a drive around 11:30-midnight and while, again, it was lighter in some areas…nothing.

Friends are posting gorgeous photos from my hometown of Cleveland right now. They got the eclipse, too. I traveled there for that at least. These clouds in DC are so disappointing.

I’m in Boston and I was able to see them. But the naked eye doesn’t pick up much. You need a phone to see them clearly.

Vast majority of the U.S. is covered in clouds right now

Southern California might be the best place to see tonight! I actually have a good friend who is on Day 4 of the Pacific Crest Trail, starting at the southern terminus. He’s going to get a helluva show.
